Job Description

Clinical Development Director (MD qualified role) - Germany

Note: My client has committed to do digital hiring using Skype (VC), and has a new digital on-boarding and induction training process in place to allow a smooth transition during MERS-COV-2 outbreak. During the next period, new hires will be allowed to work from home full-time, until such a time occurs when normal working returns.

My client is a leading bio-/pharmaceutical company offering a position as a Clinical Development Physician to work on a late phase NCEs/NBEs, in Immunology (we also have a similar role in Paediatrics). This clinical development role will be part of their late phase development and commercialization team (this is a clinical development role not a medical affairs one).

You will strengthen the Clinical Development team of our client and take the molecule through to NDA / MAA submission.

The role can be located in Germany at one of the international hubs, or can be based in 2 other locations in Mainland Europe. You will input into the medical/scientific coherence and efficacy of clinical development programs including protocol design, amendments and support for a line extension as well.

You will also input to the generation of the Value Dossier leading, dialogues around TPP, and be part of the team working with their partners in regulatory and access to embed the right conversations with regulators, pre submission.

You will contribute to the clinical section of documents including the IBs, Annual IND Safety Updates/EU Annual Reports, CSRs, etc. You will be joining at end of Phase 2, and taking it through its Ph 3 programmes, readout and MAA/NDA submission.

This is a progressive company with a strong track record in immunology, and you will be part of an inner group which supports multiple molecules, so once this has finished, you need not concern yourself with where the next project comes from.

If we got your attention with this vacancy and you have the following I would like to hear from you:

  • Medical qualification (MD) with previous clinical research expertise (as a Physician not a Clin Ops Lead) for immunology or GI or derma or Crohn’s Disease
  • Min 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry in clinical development
  • Board certification or other relevant higher medical and academic qualification preferred
  • Clear and articulate verbal, written and presentation skills with good command of the English language and the appropriate comportment to represent our client internationally at meetings and congresses
  • Strong team player with ability to work in global diverse matrix teams and to build effective working relationships at all levels in the organization
  • Scientific curiosity and ability to innovate combined with attention to timelines, results and added value.

Does this sound like an opportunity that is worth to explore? Then please do not hesitate and send through a recent version of your CV and I will immediately contact you in return to share more information!
