Early Development Statistician SSI - Preclinical Research Statistics - Contract - Home based option

ADV is working with a Global Biopharma in the supply of an early development statistician with strong research experience on a long term contract basis. Client team is based in UK, Belgium or Germany so ideally you will be based in one of these countries but my Client is seeking the right person so this opportunity can be home based.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide statistical support to preclinical/ non-clinical in vitro activities and research projects
  • Ensure that scientific questions for research objectives are defined clearly and that data collection, statistical methods and analyses are optimally designed to provide statistical evidence to answer those questions in alignment with project objectives.
  • Provide insight on the risk associate to decision.
  • Align within the team, the statistical planning of different deliverables expected from Preclinical Research Statistics.
  • Actively contributes to the continuous development of the statistical expertise and improvement of the quality the support given by Early Development Statistics.
  • Contributes to solutions for standardisation of practices within the team and at business partners level when relevant.
  • Communicates complex issues in nontechnical language by using visuals, simulations and other illustrative techniques.
  • Reviews and gives relevant statistical input in scientific publications, presentations, internal scientific reports and regulatory documents as required

Profile

  • 3+ (with Master’s or equ. degree ) years’ experience in biostatistics or equivalent proven experience within the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical development. 
  • Previous degree in Biology/chemistry is a must.
  • Statistical Experience in in-vitro experiments and Bioassay development and validation is a must.
