Salary: Competitive
Job Type: Full Time
Location:
Belgium
** Note please: This role is based anywhere in Belgium or the Netherlands as long as you speak French and English or are Trilingual Dutch French and English
*** The role is focused on a smaller number of Medical Centres and Hospitals treating rare diseases in children, so you will not be on the road all the time, and the role can be based from Home
**** This role is focusing on a new product launch, and supporting KOL and Investigators selected for Clinical Trials in P2/B/3A/B as well as IIS / Obs Studies (it offers variety without having to drive 50K Km per year (there are 3 main medical centres in Belgium only).
About My Client
My client was established by a MD Pediatrician Geneticist who had previously worked at another well-known Rare Disease company where he built the lab to discover the molecules he led on his own patients in clinical trials. Impressive enough, but since establishing my client 10 years ago, they have discovered, developed and registered 4 new drugs and have an impressive clinical trials pipeline, focused on pediatric rare diseases. The company is well financed and has over 1 billion in reserves, combined with new product launches in NW Europe.
This role will support 3 main strategic objectives: MSL and support for the Medical Plan for BE NL Luxembourg for a new launch in Q4 2023; medical liaison with the Prof. of Med and Drs in a handful of treatment centres for the launch as well as for ISSs and Obs Studies and coordination with HQ for P3 trials (these are running already); support and management of the RFIs and information for the countries listed for Medical Information.
As this is rare diseases there is very much unmet medical need so this company more than ticks this box, you will know you are working for a genuine innovator not a me-too product. Additionally, the European Medical Director’s will work with you to help you develop and understand the patient segments, and their treatment pathways. The next round of products in late Ph 3 which you will support, are focused on a particularly stubborn set of inborn errors and we as a supplier give our thumbs up to both their commitment and science (they have small, large, cell and gene therapies in their pipeline).
Your Experience
You will have experience in rare diseases ideally, combined with MSL experience spanning 3-5 years, and would prefer not to be in a role where you are supporting a wide label drug or portfolio but prefer a niche segment where you can directly see the benefit of your own impact. You will enjoy working with KOLs and have the communication skills and attitude senior medical professionals like to work with. You will be based in the NL or BE country and have French and English, as a minimum, and be willing to work with individuals from the USA, CH, where your direct line manager is based in Paris, France (and this individual will meet with you in the countries 1-2 a month).
Package & Benefits
This role comes with an advantageous salary for the right person plus performance bonus and other company benefits.
